Lotus Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine - CHLOE TAYLOR L.Ac 502-417-9396
Lotus Acupuncture is the Chinese Medicine Practice of Chloe Taylor, L.Ac. I graduated from AOMA, with a Masters degree in Oriental Medicine, in December 2001, then returned home to Louisville, KY. Since that time my practice has continued to evolve, yet remains rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) This is a large umbrella that includes Acupuncture, Herbal medicine, cupping, moxibustion, and other hands on techniques. I integrate Traditional Chinese Medicine  with select modalities and theories that have their origin in Osteopathy. These are applied within the context of the Hakomi Method, a mindfulness based practice  that brings attention to body felt experience. My acupuncture style is grounded in the Master Tung lineage as taught by Susan Johnson L.Ac. ; the principle student of Miriam Lee LA.c as well as a student of Dr. Wei-Chieh Young. My Most recent exploration has been with Engaging Vitality, the work of Dan Bensky, Chip Chace and Marguerite Dinkins. This is a meta-model that marries Osteopathic principals with Traditional East Asian Medicine.(TEAM). TEAM is a broad term that includes TCM as well as the Traditional Medicines of other East Asian countries.    I studied Biodynamic Cranial Touch, completing a program with Charles Ridley in 2006. I am still a student of Cranial Sacral Therapy, studying with Steve Schumacher, the Visionary Cranial Sacral system of Hugh Milne D.O.  Many different people and practices have influenced me, including the people I've had the privilege of treating over the last 16+ years. This is truly a labor of love and the learning is ongoing.
